Musée Maritime The Douala Maritime Museum took part in the Café de Tourisme Mercatour event in Douala from 2 to 3 August 2023. It was an opportunity for Mr. Patrice Ekwalla, Service Head at the Douala Maritime Museum, to present the museum's touristic attractions and their impact on Douala's appeal as a tourist destination at the Littoral Regional Delegation for Tourism and Leisure in Douala.
Café de Tourisme is an event organised by GO AFRICA BUSINESS under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure. Note that the last stop of this year's edition in Cameroon was Douala and is a prelude to the International Sustainable Tourism Fair which is to hold in Douala within the month of November 2023.
Renowned Cameroonian artist Queen Eteme and a delegation of Senegalese craftsmen were honoured in Douala. The event brought together a number of key players in the tourism and communications sectors for discussions and experience-sharing.
