Prior to the celebration of the TET'EKOMBO 2024 ceremony, the steering committee for the 110th anniversary of Cameroon's resistance to German colonisation hosted an important conference at the Douala Maritime Museum on 6 August 2024.
This was in memory of Rudolf Douala Manga Bell and his fellow comrades in arms. Reflections during this commemorative event focused on the theme: "Restoring whose honour? Why? How? Participants also watched the film "Ngum'a Jemea", which recounts the heroic life and resistance of Rudolf Douala Manga Bell, an emblematic figure under German rule from 1884 to 1914.
