The Douala Maritime Museum was honoured to welcome 4 American coastguards on 21 April 2024. They were received on arrival by Mr. Landry Massoma, Service Head at the Museum. The coastguards were accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Transport, the US Embassy in Cameroon and the Port Authority of Douala. The purpose of their trip to Cameroon was to assess the safety, security and surveillance of the country's seaports. They left the Douala Maritime Museum in high spirits, having learned all about the maritime history of Cameroon's coastline.
