Monday, 6 June 2011: laying of the foundation stone by the Minister of State, Minister of Transport, Bello Bouba Maigari;

Wednesday, 22 February 2012: Minister of Transport, then CNSC Board Chairman, Prof. Robert Nkili visited the project site;

Monday, 15 April 2013: Beginning of set design work by AUGEA –Cameroun;

Friday, 19 April 2013: Presentation of Douala Museum building to business persons of the maritime sector and potential patrons during a ceremony chaired by Mr. Joseph Beti Assomo, Governor of the Littoral Region and CNSC Board Chairman;

Friday, 19 April 2013: creation of the Foundation of Friends of the Douala Maritime Museum, whose mission is to source for the human, financial, and materialresources needed for the smooth functioning of the Museum;

Monday, 13 May 2013: reception of Museum building built by CAMBUILD SARL;

Wednesday, 5 June 2013: holding of preparatory constituent General Assembly of the Foundation of Friends of the Douala Maritime Museum;

Wednesday, 28 August 2013: the Minister of Arts and Culture, Ama Tutu Muna, received CNSC General Manager, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, in view of the imminent  inauguration of the Museum;

Wednesday, 4 September 2013, H.E. the Ambassador of Brazil to Cameroon, Nei Futuro Bitencourt visited the museum building.
